OSR

The Organisation Sectorial Rules (OSR) are documents that provide the rules, requirements and guidelines for developing a CFO for a specific sector of an organisation.
They are a necessary reference to ensure uniformity in the quantification of indirect GHG emissions, generally known as Scope 3 (categories 3-6 of ISO 14064-1), in order to allow for greater comparability between CFO studies of organisations belonging to the same sector.

OSRs also provide support to companies in a specific sector to align with the UN HLEG recommendations by identifying significant GHG categories to include in their annual reporting.

The Programme Operator Carbon Footprint Italy makes this OSR freely available to any organization for their CFO quantification, and openly invites other Programme Operators to adopt it in their rules programme, quoting the original source of the know- how.
